Questions before you join
The practical stuff people ask before signing up.
Most new members RSVP to their first meetup within the first week. If you live in one of our active cities, there’s usually something on your calendar within 7 days, a coffee walk, co-work morning, surf, or padel session. If you prefer, you can DM a handful of founders straight from the community on day one.
No. DMC is built for every stage of the founder journey. Active founders, early stage founders, future founders still employed but dreaming of building, and supporters like investors, advisors, and mentors. Pick the archetype that fits where you are right now. You can change it later.
We’re live in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, and London, with 25+ European cities launching soon. If yours isn’t live, join the waitlist and you’ll be first in when we open, often with a founding member rate attached.
As little or as much as you want. Most members check the app 2-3 times a week, RSVP to one or two meetups, and send a few DMs. The meetups are usually 60-90 minutes of something you’d be doing anyway (coffee, surf, co-working), so the time cost is near zero.
Only verified DMC members in your city (and globally, if you’re on PRO). Your profile is never public, never indexed by Google, and never shared outside the app. You can also hide specific fields or go quiet mode if you need a break.
You’re in. The moment you submit the last step, you land in the app with full access to your city’s founder community, upcoming meetups, and messaging. No approval queue, no waiting period. You can send your first DM or RSVP to your first meetup within the same minute.
