Yes. Cancel from inside the app and you’ll keep PRO until the end of your current billing period, then drop back to Free. No penalties, no hassle.

Yes. If you’re not happy in your first 14 days of PRO, email support@the-dmc.com and we’ll refund you in full, no questions asked.

Every profile shows Why Connects, real reasons you two might build together. Message anyone directly, or RSVP to a meetup where they’ll be. As little or as much as you want. Most members check the app 2-3 times a week, RSVP to one or two meetups, and send a few DMs. Meetups are usually 60-90 minutes of an activity you’d be doing anyway (coffee, surf, co-working), so the marginal time cost is near zero.

LinkedIn is transactional and job-focused. DMC shows what someone is building, what they need help with, and the activities they enjoy, not just a job title. The Why Connects suggestion engine surfaces specific reasons to reach out, and meetups give you a natural reason to meet in person. No. Meetup.com is a general-purpose events platform covering every topic. DMC is specifically for founders, with a member directory, Why Connects suggestion engine, and activity-based meetups curated for the founder crowd. Every person at a DMC meetup is there to connect with other founders.

Pitch events are transactional and awkward. Mixers are surface-level. Activities (surf, coffee walks, padel, co-work) give founders a shared context, you’re doing something you both enjoy, with enough time and space for real conversations to unfold. The best founder relationships we’ve seen started at an activity, not at a networking event.

Only verified DMC members in your city (and globally if you’re on PRO). Your profile is never public, never indexed by Google, and never shared outside the app. You can also hide specific fields or go quiet mode if you need a break.

Members verify via email and go through onboarding that includes profile-building questions designed to filter out low-effort signups. We also monitor for spam and have a report flow for any member who violates community guidelines.

Yes, anytime from inside the app. Account deletion removes your profile from the directory, cancels any active subscription, and deletes your message history from our active database. Email support@the-dmc.com if you need help.
